Getting started
What is ReelToons?
ReelToons 1.0 is a 2D animation model that generates frame-by-frame cartoons, for creators, brands, businesses and anyone with a story. You bring the story and, optionally, your characters; pick a shape and a length; and ReelToons generates a finished cartoon reel for Instagram, TikTok, Shorts or your website.
Who is ReelToons for?
Anyone with a story. Creators use it for channels and series, brands and businesses for ads, launches and explainers, and plenty of people just want a cartoon of their dog. If you can describe it, ReelToons 1.0 can animate it.
How do I start?
Hit join the waitlist and add your name and email. You’ll get a sign-in link to your studio console straight away. We review new sign-ups within one business day and email you the moment you’re in. Then you top up seconds, answer four quick questions and generate.
Why is there a list?
We’re opening the doors a few people at a time while we scale up. Most people are in within a business day.
Do you write the script for me?
No. ReelToons 1.0 is an animation model, not an agency: we don’t employ copywriters or pitch ideas. The story, script and dialogue come from you, and ReelToons 1.0 animates them.
What you bring
What do I need to provide?
Answers to four questions: what happens (scene by scene, with any dialogue), the shape (16:9, 9:16 or 3:4), who’s in it (character art or a description) and how long it should be.
Can I use my own characters?
Yes. Upload your mascot or character art in your console and the model animates it. Or describe your characters in words and the model draws them.
Can I use my own voiceover?
Yes. Attach your recording when you describe your story.
Can I upload my logo and brand colours?
Yes. Upload whatever assets you want in the cartoon in your console.
Pricing & payment
How much does it cost?
ReelToons 1.0: twenty cents per second, ready in 16–24 hours. ReelToons 1.0 Turbo: forty cents per second, ready in 2–5 hours. A 30-second cartoon is $6 with 1.0 or $12 with 1.0 Turbo. See pricing.
How does paying for seconds work?
You top up your balance with PayPal, from $15 (75 seconds) up to $500 (2,500 seconds) at a time. A ReelToons 1.0 generation uses 1 second of balance per second of cartoon; 1.0 Turbo uses 2. Unused seconds don’t expire. Above $500, we’ll invoice you.
Do regenerations cost seconds?
Yes. Every generation, including a regeneration, uses its length from your balance.
What’s the shortest cartoon?
15 seconds.
How do I pay?
Through PayPal, upfront, in your studio console. We never see your card details.
Generating
How long does a generation take?
ReelToons 1.0 is ready in 16–24 hours. ReelToons 1.0 Turbo is ready in 2–5 hours. These are targets, not guarantees: longer or more complex cartoons can take a bit more time.
What do I get?
A Full HD MP4 in the shape you picked: 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, 16:9 for YouTube and your website, or 3:4 for the feed.
What if I don’t like the result?
Regenerate it, with 1.0 or 1.0 Turbo. Add notes in the chat if you want something different. Like any generation tool, the results vary from run to run, and choosing which one to use is up to you. There are no revision rounds.
Can you edit a cartoon after it’s generated?
No. We don’t do manual edits or revisions. To change something, update your script or notes and regenerate.
Can I make a series?
Yes. Reuse the same character art and voice across generations for a recurring cast.
Rights & usage
Can I use the cartoons commercially?
Yes. Once you’ve paid, the generated cartoon is yours to post, boost, run as an ad or show at events.
Who owns what?
Your stories, characters, recordings and brand assets stay yours. We assign to you any rights we hold in the generated cartoon.
Am I responsible for what I upload?
Yes. You need the rights to everything you provide, including scripts, character art, voice recordings and logos. Don’t upload other people’s characters, brands or voices without permission.
Can I put real people in a cartoon?
Only with their documented consent. We don’t generate cartoons of real, identifiable people without it.
Do I need to label it as AI-made?
Some platforms and places require AI-generated media to be labelled. You’re responsible for the rules where you post.
The AI bit
How is it so fast?
ReelToons 1.0 does the drawing and movement that used to take an animation studio weeks.
Is my script kept private?
Yes. We never publish or share what you upload. The only exception is the AI models that need it to generate your cartoon, which process it under their API terms. We only show your cartoon in our portfolio if you say so.
Gary
Who is Gary?
Our Head of Attention. He’s a frog. He watches every render and has no authority whatsoever.
Is Gary a toad?
No. Please stop asking. He’s sensitive about it.
Can I feed Gary?
Yes. Click or tap anywhere in the hero on the homepage to drop a ladybug. He’ll take it from there.
Still curious? Generate one and see.
Fifteen seconds costs three dollars. That’s cheaper than finding out the hard way.
